오전에 회사에서 Windows Live messenger(MSN)에 로그인했더니
Windows Live(TM) Messenger Service Staff says:
Important service announcement: As part of a recent system enhancement, we need you to change your e-mail address to continue signing in to the Windows Live(TM) Messenger Service.
To ensure that your access is not blocked and to learn more, go to http://support.microsoft.com/gp/Messenger/en
이런 메시지가 왔다.
신종 피싱인가하고 여기저기 확인해보는데, 피싱치곤 이상한 점이 몇 가지(?).
Live Messenger에서 Microsoft 를 직접 언급하는건 일반적으로 불가능하다아이디로도 해당 단어를 못쓴다- 결국 가야하는 링크도 MS 사이트다
- 로그인 아이디를 바꾸려면 https 로그인 인증(혹은 live suite 인증)을 통해 변경해야 한다
즉, 실제로 수상한 메시지는 아니었던 것 같았다. 그래서 구글링해보니 뭔가 주르륵 나온다.
(다시 실험해보니 처음 두 개는 해당 사항이 없다. 이 정책은 언제 바뀐거지?)
MS Office Communications Server 때문에 이런 일이 생긴 것 같은데, 아이디를 바꾸라는 말데로 뭔가 해보려고했는데 바꿀 수 없다는 메시지만(…). 저기서 언급한 페이지에 가보니,
Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 SP1 with public instant messaging (IM) connectivity enables IM capabilities between the Windows Live Messenger Service and corporate instant messaging systems. Messenger users can now IM the Messenger users they IM with today, as well as users of a connected IM system. As part of this service enhancement, you must now change the ID you are using for signing into Messenger in order to continue using this service.
Please proceed with changing your sign-in ID if you received:
- An instant message from the Windows Live Messenger Service Staff
- An error message when signing in to Messenger
- Information that your company has just started using Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005
라 한다. 즉, 회사에서 저 프로그램을 가동하기 시작했고, 거기서 Windows Live Messenger와 회사 내의 IM 기능을 통합해주기 때문에 저렇다는 것. 덤으로 그래서 로그인 아이디도 바꿔야한다는 건데(…).
실제로 해봤더니 바꿀 수 없다고 한다(?!). 그리고 바꾸지 않으면 메신저를 쓸 수 없을 수 있다고 하지만, 그건 MS Office Communications Server 설정에 걸려있는 문제인듯. 즉, 회사에서 저걸 통합할 테니 바꾸라고 하지 않으면야 신경 끄면 그만…인듯하다.
원래 쓰던 메신저와 내부에서 쓰는(쓸?) IM이 통합되는건 좋긴한데, 보통은 직장/사생활이 구분되는게 편하지 않나.
내가 이것과 관련해서 뭔가 놓치고 있거나 + 잘못된 부분이 있거나 + 비슷한 일을 겪어보신 분은 얘기 좀 해봅시다 :)
